Background

Since qualification in 2009, Dr Summers has worked as a neuropsychologist across mental health and acute settings, most recently at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery. She has delivered Cognitive Behavioural and Cognitive Rehabilitation interventions to individuals and groups in the context of a range of neurological and mental health conditions, developed a neurobehavioural approach for individuals with severe cognitive impairment and a brief, preventive group approach for individuals in the subacute stage after mild TBI. She has supervised qualified and trainee psychologists, and CBT therapists, across acute and mental health settings and contributes to teaching on DClinPsy and Masters courses at the IoPPN, Royal Holloway (University of London), and UCL.
