Anna Meechan

Registered Mental Health Nurse


Area of expertise
Anna has a background in commissioning and leading services, both adult and CAMHS, inpatient and community services. Anna has specialised in the areas of Forensic and Acute Psychiatry. Within these areas, Anna has undertaken:

  • Leadership roles in both Adult Acute and Forensic inpatient and community services
  • Commissioned and lead a CAMHS inpatient medium secure service and teams within a CAMHS community service, in addition to a youth offending CAMHS team working alongside Criminal Justice Services
  • Assessments of young people engaging in inappropriate sexualised behaviour
  • Treatment for trauma - EMDR
  • Parenting Skills Training - Non-Violent Resistance (NVR)

Biography
Anna qualified as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) at Winwick Hospital School of Nursing, 1991. later achieving a BSc (Hons) in The Dynamics of Mental Health Practice at Middlesex University, London 2014. She then went on to complete a PG Dip in Child and Young Person IAPT Therapy CBT, at University College, London 2015.
