Overview

The Lambeth Healthy Weight Project work with children aged 4 to 12 years of age who have been diagnosed with obesity or who have been assessed to be at risk of obesity. The Lambeth Specialist Healthy Weight Project supports families to help their children maintain a healthy weight and lifestyle. This includes their physical and emotional health. The project is about growing well and being safe. It is also about protecting the long-term health of children.

The project is family led and centres on the resources and strengths of families. We work with families on their terms and where makes most sense, recognising the impact of health inequalities, racism and other forms of discrimination on family life and what is frequently the experience of services and health care. Our project is community based, multi-agency and multi-disciplinary.
