Overview

The Adolescent At-risk and Forensic Service is a flexible and responsive multidisciplinary team offering evidence-based assessment, consultation and treatment for young people who are engaged in, or present significant risk of serious violence, fire-setting and/or sexually harmful behaviour. Those who are at high risk through sexual exploitation or self-harm are also seen.

We work with young people who present with neurodevelopmental and/or emerging personality disorders alongside their risk behaviour. We often treat young people who have exhausted the resources of their local child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS) and still need assistance. The team also work with families and carers.

The team provides comprehensive assessments for CAMHS clinicians, local authorities and family and criminal court.
