South London Trust proud to be awarded Living Wage Accreditation

South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust has received Living Wage Accreditation from The Living Wage Foundation.

The Trust now pays all our staff the real Living Wage, which is higher than the minimum wage set by the government. It also means the Trust pays all London-based employees the London Living wage.

This is an independently calculated rate that ensures workers can meet the cost of living in the capital and earn enough to support themselves and their families.

David Bradley, Chief Executive said: “We are very pleased to announce that the Trust is now officially recognised as paying the living wage to all our staff. It is important that our colleagues and their families will now be able to meet the higher costs associated with living in London.

“Our staff are our greatest asset and we know that staff who feel supported at work provide the best care for our patients and service users.

“Thank you to Lambeth Council and Southwark Council who led the campaign.”

The commitment covers all directly employed hospital staff and includes staff employed by ISS, the Trust’s main outsourced suppliers.
