Reay House Library stocks a large collection of print books and audiovisual materials which are available for loan.
The multidisciplinary collections focus on clinical care, service development, education and training. They are particularly strong in the following areas:
mental health
commissioning
research
healthcare management
public health
The library also provides access to a range of databases, e-books, e-journals and other online information resources.
As well as showing you what the Reay House Library holds, you can use the catalogue to place reservations, request items from other libraries in the South London Health Libraries consortium and renew the books you already have on loan.
Most books can be posted to you if you can’t get to the library in person, and you can return them in the same way. Please contact the library for more information.

NHS OpenAthens
NHS staff and students have access to a wide range of online information resources, including databases, ebooks and ejournals. You will need to apply for a NHS OpenAthens account. You can also check your eligibility before applying.

Social Policy and Practice is a comprehensive UK social issues and social policy database of great relevance to mental health care. Abstracts summarise working papers; charity sector, local and national government reports, and peer-reviewed articles. You will need a NHS OpenAthens account to access the database.
E-journals
Over 1,500 e-journals are available to you through NICE Evidence. Browse by journal title or use the click-throughs from your database search to go straight to any available full text material.
BMJ Best Practiceis an online point of care tool that gives healthcare professionals fast and easy access to the latest information when making diagnosis and treatment decisions.

Royal Marsden Manual of Clinical Nursing Procedures
Clinical nurse experts from one of the UK’s leading centres of expertise have brought together all the latest clinical evidence nurses need to meet confidently the requirements of their demanding profession.
The manual is available online and includes over 350 evidence-based clinical procedures related to every aspect of physical health care, from hand washing to cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Please contact the library for login details.
