The Estia Centre is a training, research and development resource for those who support adults with learning or intellectual disabilities and additional mental health needs. Our programmes are designed to support the development of a competent workforce, from support staff to experienced managers. They are grouped into a series of modular workshops targeted to your specific learning and development need.
Our training is coordinated by the Estia Senior Training Officer who delivers the programme in collaboration with clinicians, experts through experience and academics from local specialist services:
Mental Health Learning Disabilities team, South London and Maudsley NHS Trust
Community Learning Disability Services, Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Trust
Our training is available to all staff who support adults with learning disabilities (in residential services, supported living, outreach or as a personal assistant) and is free of charge for not-for-profit and charity run organisations and personal assistants working within the London Boroughs ofLambeth, Southwark and Lewisham.
For all our prospectus courses, if you work for a private (profit making) organisation, an organisation outside of Lambeth, Southwark and Lewisham or an NHS trust, the training cost is:
£200 for a two day workshop
£100 for a one day workshop
£50 for a half day workshop
