MAPPA is a framework of statutory arrangements introduced by the Criminal Justice Act (CJA) 2003 and operated by criminal justice and social care agencies. ?MAPPA arrangements enable these agencies to work together to reduce the risk to the public of further offending presented by sexual and violent offenders. ?This is done by sharing information to produce a coordinated risk management plan that will allow offenders to be effectively managed in the community.
