This is a Two day course for CAMHS-based clinicians is delivered by the national service for OCD at the Maudsley and offers CBT skills-based teaching for the management of this disorder in children and young people.

This is a Health Education England funded course for staff working in child and adolescent mental health services (CAMH’s) ?which has been developed by Kings College London and the Institute of Psychiatry,

Psychology and Neuroscience in partnership with Maudsley Learning.THIS COURSE IS FOR STAFF WORKING IN CAMH’S (child and adolescent mental health services) ONLY, please do not apply if you work in any other area of mental health as you will not be eligible to attend this course?
Course aims:
What you will learn from taking this course:
1. Identify symptoms of OCD in children
2. Perform or describe a competent assessment of OCD in children
3. Recommend appropriate diagnostic questionnaires and interviews
4. Describe the principles and practice of CBT for this disorder, including common treatment challenges
5.?Recommend appropriate medical treatment for this disorder
6.Describe how to manage common treatment challenges and risks associated with OCD
