Snowsfields Adolescent Unit is a specialist psychiatric service, providing acute and elective in-patient and day-patient care for young people suffering from mental illness.
The service is for:
This service is for young people aged between 12 and 18 years with evidence of major psychiatric disorder, requiring urgent assessment and/or treatment in hospital.
Opening Times:
24 hours, seven days a week.Emergency referrals accepted.
Disabled Access:
Yes. All room accessible to wheelchairs. Lifts to fourth floor. Assisted showers and toilet available
Other Information:
There is an emphasis on relapse prevention, and limited day-patient services are provided to help pre-discharge.
