The Communications and Media Team

South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLaM) is a public sector organisation and accountable to the public both directly and through the media.

The role of the Communications and Media team is to promote the work of our hospitals, services and developments in the media and to raise awareness of our work.

We are happy to respond to requests from journalists and aim to work proactively, efficiently and effectively with all media.

We respond on a regular basis to requests to interview health professionals, researchers and clinical experts throughout the organisation, as well as raising awareness, promoting campaigns and producing web content.

If you have a media request the Communications and Media team is the first point of contact and we will strive to respond to you as soon as possible.

However, we also have a duty to our patients and staff and therefore reserve the right to decline media requests if there is any potential conflict with the interests of the organisation.
