Advanced therapeutic assessment training
SLaM is holding a two day conference focussing on the mental health needs of adolescents presenting with self-harm. The conference takes place on Thursday 22 and Friday 23 March 2012 at the Michael Rutter Centre, Maudsley Hospital.
The training is for CAMHS professionals involved with self-harm assessments who have more than 12 months experience in this area and have already done basic training.
The training programme will enable clinicians to deal with difficult situations. Attendees will learn how clinicians can develop a joint understanding of self-harm with the young person, enhance motivation, instil hope and explore ways forward.
