Lewisham children receiving “outstanding” services say inspectors

The services that keep Lewisham’s children and young people safe, including those provided by South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLaM), have been judged “outstanding” by Ofsted and the Care Quality Commission. Lewisham is only the third council in the country and the first in London to be given the top grade.
Peer-led parenting classes prove effective

Researchers, from the Institute of Psychiatry at King's College London and South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust have found that peer-led parenting classes are effective at improving parenting practices and children's behavioural problems.
