OCD Parents’ Support Project

OCD Action and SLaM (South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust) have launched an online OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) Parents' Support Project.

The project will provide monthly web-based seminars, support groups, chat forums and information specifically aimed at parents of young people with OCD.

The first event will be a seminar on Tuesday 15 November at 7pm called "Supporting your child through Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)" and presented by a clinical psychologist from SLaM's National and Specialist OCD Children and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) team. There will be an opportunity after the presentation for a Q&A session.

The seminar will be followed at 8pm by OCD Action's first parents only support group.

The seminar and support group are both based online and are free to access. The project is open to all parents of young people with OCD.

To register your place for the first event, or to find out more about any other aspect of the project, contact Ilana Pizer Mason on 0207 253 5272 or ilana@ocdaction.org.uk.
