Juggling science

Pharmacy Technician Martin Heasman, who works at Maudsley Hospital, takes centre stage on the Royal Institution Christmas Lecture: 'Who's In Charge Here Anyway' repeated at 11.20pm on Wednesday 25 January on BBC2.
Martin and his partner Sam Vines, from King's College London, run the Croydon Juggling Club and feature in a lecture focusing on memory and observation skills. They perform an intriguing experiment which foxes the audience and demonstrates how the brain selects visual information.
The Royal Institution Christmas Lectures 2011: 'Meet Your Brain' were presented by Professor Bruce Hood and can also be viewed on the dedicated Royal Institution Channel.
