Buddi Tracker Conference - 9 December
Unescorted: Buddi Tracker One Year On…
Friday 9th December 2011, Midday to 4pm
Tower Lecture Theatre, Floor 30,
Guy's Hospital, Great Maze Pond, London SE1 9RT
It is one year on since Buddi Tracker's introduction at SLaM. A
hundred GPS ankle bracelets are now in full operation in the
Trust's forensic services at Bethlem Royal and Lambeth Hospitals.
This conference will present and discuss how Buddi Tracker forms
part of SLaM's Recovery approach to mental health, the support it
gives both service users and staff, its positive effect on both
escorted and unescorted leave, the direct cost savings and benefits
associated with the ankle bracelet, together with the Tracker's
legal and security implications. Buddi Tracker is a remotely
monitored state of the art GPS tracker device with a non-removable
ankle strap. It is discrete, comfortable and lightweight.
Who should attend: You may already be aware of Buddi
Tracker and attended our workshop in November last year. This
Conference is an opportunity for Trusts and mental health
organisations to hear our analysis of the latest Buddi Tracker
data, how it supports service users' recovery, its impact on both
escorted and unescorted leave, the direct benefits, costs and
savings achieved, and the Tracker's security and legal
implications. Whether you know a lot about the Tracker and are
thinking about using it in your services, or have heard a little
about it and want to know more, or whether this is the first time
you have heard about it we would welcome your attendance. This
Conference is especially suitable for service directors, senior
clinicians, planning/project leads, security leads and senior
managers.
